"Tamarah's Closet" Magazine
Hello! I'm Tamarah Ellen, creator of "Tamarah's Closet" magazine, and a passionate photographer based in Greensboro, North Carolina.
About "Tamarah’s Closet" Magazine
Tamarah’s Closet magazine is a vibrant extension of my life’s passions—a reflection of everything that has ever lived in my "closet." For most of my life, I never had enough closet space because it held far more than just clothes. It became a storage room for the memorabilia, trophies, and tools from all my hobbies and dreams. From dance shoes to flute cases, horse show gear to dog show ribbons, and even my bodybuilding bag—my closet became a metaphor for the eclectic journey of following one’s dreams.
My love affair with the arts began at a young age through dance, flute, and piano. Later, I became passionate about horse showing, dog showing, and eventually bodybuilding. Each endeavor taught me something invaluable—and each added to the rich tapestry of my life.
When the internet exploded onto the scene, I saw both the opportunity and the challenge: anyone could share their art or message with the world, but with so many voices, too many talented people were getting lost. I wanted to change that. I envisioned a platform that would bridge the gap from "just starting out" to "being seen."
That vision became Tamarah’s Closet, a live internet show I launched over eight years ago. Since then, I’ve interviewed people from all walks of life and stages of success—from undiscovered talents to world-renowned figures. My guests have included musicians, visual artists, actors, bestselling authors, neurologists, sculptors, horse trainers, and even the legendary photojournalist Reza.
The magazine is an extension of that show—and my mission. It’s a celebration of artists, dreamers, and doers—those just beginning and those already celebrated—so they can feel seen, heard, and lifted. As a photographer, I especially enjoy capturing cover features and photo spreads for guests who live close enough to work with me in person.
My background includes working as a Hollywood hairstylist, and that creative spirit continues to flow into every issue of the magazine. I highlight a global community of talent, blending international stories with local features to keep the content diverse, authentic, and inspiring.
If you’re a business owner, I would love for you to consider advertising in Tamarah’s Closet. Your support not only helps promote your brand—it helps sustain a mission to elevate talented individuals who deserve to shine. My ad rates are affordable because I want to support small businesses and artists during these uncertain times. Whether you have your own ad materials or need help creating one—including professional photography—I’m happy to assist.
Let’s talk and explore how we can collaborate. Together, we can continue lifting others, one story—and one dream—at a time.
Tamarah's Closet can be picked up at all seven Greensboro Harris Teeter locations, along with several small businesses throughout Greensboro. If you are not local, you can purchase the magazine online as well as subscribe to the magazine and have it shipped to you.
