The Still, Beautiful World
Self-Portrait
Our world is still a beautiful one, and America is still the greatest country for those who live their lives. I’ve often wondered how different people’s lives and their views would be if they chose to stay off social media, read more, get outside more, and live life beyond their cell phones and computers.
I have been off social media, other than watching a comedian late at night, so I go to sleep with laughter in my head. I make an occasional post or check my Messenger for messages from clients, and my life has changed tremendously. I opened my phone yesterday, on Sunday, and the first thing that popped up was something about more protests around the country about Kings. I didn’t know anything about it, and I shut my phone down. I thought to myself, “I am worth so much more than wasting time listening to the garbage and hate on social media.
I went to ride one of my horses Saturday, and it was the best thing I could have done for myself. I didn’t just wonder, but I knew in my heart, that when the rest of the world put down their computers and cell phones, they could be living their best life! They are so angry, and some are overwhelmed with hate for our current President; they no longer smile, laugh, or enjoy their life. They have lost an incredible amount of happiness and time in their life. Their lives have been wasted, and those who argue with them; their lives are down the tubes as well. It is a sad situation that I refuse to be part of.
Life is a one-time chance, so make the most of it. Read books on how you can become more successful, read the Bible so you can become a better person, filled with love and hope, and spend time working on your dreams, finding ways to help and lift others. Since I realized that I have promoted my businesses as much as I know how on social media, and in the end, it will be God that promotes me, I’ve chosen to spend little time on social media. I love all of the things that I do, and the more time I spent on the internet, the less I liked people. That’s not who I aim to be.
My world, the world I choose to live in, is beautiful, and I use my God-given talents to lift people, work towards a dream so my work never feels like work, and to keep my heart as pure as I can. This hate has become pure evil, and these people are absolutely miserable to be around. Their outsides have become angry and old, and their insides are rotten with abomination. This is very dark and frightening, not to mention very dangerous to the mind and for our health.
Many years ago, I listened to a great speaker, who was very successful, say, “You will never reach your dreams listening to the news. If anything catastrophic happens, you will hear about it within 15 minutes.” He was right. I don’t pay attention to the news anymore.
It would alarm most of you if you knew what social media and the news were doing to your mind and health. It would devastate you to know what your hate is doing to your health as well. You are depressed, miserable, physically and emotionally drained, and no fun to be around. Your heart is ruined. Pull yourself up and away from the dangerous path you are walking, learn to love again, and stay away from the news. You will be astonished by how your attitude changes, your spirit is lifted, and your physical appearance improves. Your physical well-being will improve. You will stand taller, and you will attract happiness. You may even laugh again.
I have found it very difficult to find people to laugh with. They have become so serious, taking themselves and their hate so seriously, that they have no sense of humor. This is sad. They are overly sensitive and offended at the drop of a hat. I cannot be around these types of people.
There is one person I have been missing these last few years during all this hate, and that is my mother. She could laugh hysterically and made me laugh hysterically, and her laughter was contagious. She was so funny, and I got her sense of humor, yet I don’t really have people around me who can laugh anymore because of their diminished souls. So, I wait, and God will bring me fun people again, who are not full of hate. That’s what I have prayed for, and it will come. Until then, I listen to comedians.
God bless the beautiful people in the world who know how to love and fill their hearts and souls with greatness, love, and laughter.
To your own success, rock it!
